Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy covers the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that may be collected by SPANgtt/spanDNA when you interact with us.

WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect personal information because it helps us serve the needs of our clients as well as discover how we may better serve the needs of potential clients.

TYPES OF COLLECTED INFORMATION

Website usage.

We use cookies on our website in order to learn what interests potential clients and to track how well we are filling their needs. We also use this information to improve the functionality of our site and may share these non-identifying metrics with our affiliate partners.

Research questions.

We love to hear about potential clients’ research needs and try to respond to those questions personally. In order to do that we ask for an email address or telephone number. We never share this contact information with anyone outside of spanDNA and can delete it upon request. Some forms on our website alert users that their email address will be automatically added to our mailing list; they can unsubscribe at any time.

Client contact and genealogical information.

We use contact information from our clients in order to communicate with them regularly. We save email communication so that we may keep track of each client’s individual needs. All contact information and communication with our clients is private and is not shared with anyone outside of our group. We save our clients’ genealogical and contact information for a period of at least one year after a project is finished without reorder, and generally longer, unless our clients request that we delete it.

DNA & PRIVACY

We are committed to the privacy of our clients. We do not sell client DNA results or information and we do not share this information outside of the reasons outlined in our Terms of Service.
